PURPOSE
Welcome to BiasAnalyzer, designed to provide essential guidance in an era of increasing bias from the organized press and social media news, helping you discern the true nature of the content you consume.
The rise of bias
In the past, news was a trusted, balanced source of information, presenting multiple perspectives on important issues. However, the rise of digital and social media has dramatically changed this landscape. Today, many news sources, especially on social media, are heavily biased, often serving as propaganda for specific beliefs. Even traditional television and print publications have increasingly taken sides, making impartial analysis rare.
BiasAnalyzer was created to help users navigate this biased content and start a record of bias prevalence by specific publications and authors. By identifying and understanding bias, BiasAnalyzer empowers readers to make informed decisions and gain a clearer understanding of the truth.

VERSION 1
My bias analysis is biased
BiasAnalyzer v1 is our initial release designed to provide insightful political analysis while exploring and addressing inherent biases within AI results. There is bias in most AI programs which BiasAnalyzer strives to address.
The app extracts only the main article content, ignoring other page elements including ads, related articles, and embedded links. The app has an awareness of various factors that contribute to bias, such as how opposing views are presented, the use of specific adjectives and language, as well as the subject matter itself.
Version 1 lays a strong foundation for identifying and understanding bias, it also provides a roadmap to creating a fact-based ML methodology.
VERSION 2
That's better
BiasAnalyzer v2 is already in development with the goal to enhance the accuracy and impartiality of our analysis. The next version will incorporate a dedicated language library and learning algorithm, refining our ability to deliver even more precise results.
The model uses a semi-supervised reinforcement hybrid model. Supervision is provided with some labeled data to understand the task and continue in an unsupervised mode as users submit new articles for analysis. A rating system deployed in version 1 will be integrated into the model to provide the element of reinforcement learning.
Version 2 expands the content extraction capabilities to better handle complex and atypical article structures, including those found in news aggregators and on social media.
